The big day may have come and gone, but we have activities scheduled all week programs scheduled all year and life transformation scheduled indefinitely. Please consider becoming a monthly donor to keep our programs going.
The Medical Center is a 40 ft. container reconstructed by Bruce Heys Builders and his associates into a fully functioning Medical/Dental clinic and is considered to be the heart of the Community Transformation Center. It is estimated that nearly 40% of Haitians in Haiti lack access to essential health and nutrition services. In memory of the life and legacy of Tommy Hamlin we are pleased to be transforming lives in Haiti by providing adequate healthcare to a population that would otherwise go without.
There is a special joy that one sees in the face of a child in Haiti when sitting a freshly prepared plate of food on the table in front of them. There is an estimated 54.9% of undernourished children and 28.8% that suffer with growth stunting. It is with great thanks that in the loving memory of Kori Dekker that we can now break bread together within our community. We can transform lives by providing fresh hot meals during our programs and plan community meals where we can come together and share life as one under God's agape love.
The most recent addition to the Community Transformation Center is the Mom & Pop's Learning Lab donated by the late Richard Morrison and his surviving spouse Wanda Morrison. Two people who knew the value of education because of their lack of. It is because of their giving hearts and desire to educate our youth that we have a space where we can transform lives by providing education and knowledge to the people of Haiti. It is estimated that only 57% of Haiti's children attend school and fewer than 30% of them reach 6th grade. Our various learning activities will teach and equip with the tools necessary for them to become good citizens of Haiti, be prosperous and help their country grow and thrive in the years to come.
Nestled in-between two fully remodeled shipping containers (now the office space, breakroom and the medical/dental clinic) is a multi-functional community meeting and event space. This space will serve as a waiting area for patients waiting to be seen by our Drs. as well as host various praise and worship services, bible studies, hold town meetings, movie nights and activities of all kinds. It is a space for our community to learn together, grow together and unite as one under God transforming lives, relationships, bodies and souls.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
